Homeschool Day

Homeschool Day

Homeschool Day is a 90-minute program designed for students in K-5th grade. It starts at 11 am and is conducted on the second Thursday of the month from September through May. Each month’s session incorporates a current AMA art exhibition and includes an art project that connects with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) education, gallery tours and more. The cost for Homeschool Day is $5 per student for AMA members and $10 per student for future members. Students who participate in Homeschool Day will be asked to comply with AMA visitation policies, including the wearing of masks for the protection of other students and AMA staff. *New Dash, Stash, and Cache (Ages 5-8): Darting from here to there, storing and hiding food for the future. Squirrels, like many others crafty, caching creatures adapt and survive. Campers will learn how squirrels and other critters around the world work year round preparing for whatever comes there way. When school is out Chehaw is the place to be. Each day of camp includes a trip to the zoo, animal encounters, crafts, games, activities, a snack, a Chehaw water bottle, and a cool camp T-shirt! Children will have fun while learning through hands-on activities. Full Day sessions are from 9a- 3p. Half day sessions are from 9a- 12p and open to campers age 4. Need a late pick up? After camp care is available until 6 pm for $10 per day or $40 for the entire week. Members receive 10% off each camp plus half price on after camp care. Ambetter by Peach Sate Health Plan and Michelob Ultra presents the Second Annual Flint River Entertainment Complex 5K Race Series hosted at the Veterans Park Amphitheatre in Downtown Albany. The Flint River Entertainment Complex Race Series is set to return this fall with two registration options. Runners who only wish to participate in a single 5K Event should choose their race of choice, and pay a $30 registration fee. Single race registration fees will include; entry to the race, and a 5K race t-shirt. Runners who wish to participate in the complete race series (all three races) should choose the FREC 5K Race Series – All 3 Races option, and pay a $75 registration fee. Series race registration fees will include; entry to all three 5K race events, a 5K race t-shirt, and a (1) complementary drink option. There will also be a 1-Mile Fun Run open to all ages, available for $10. *Each race will start and finish at the Veterans Park Amphitheatre. Each event will have its own unique course.
